He Became Sin Who Knew No Sin...

The title of the sermon today is "Today is the Day of Salvation" out of 2 Corinthians 6:1-13. Church begins with Bible study at 9:30, and worship is at 10:30. Please join us!

After church, we will have our quarterly business meeting in the sanctuary. Members and their families who are planning on staying for the meeting will be served pizza for lunch.

Last week, Pastor Gabe gave a passionate presentation of the gospel preaching on 2 Corinthians 5:21, which says, "For our sake, He became sin who knew no sin, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him." Listen below.

New Creation

If you are in Christ, you are a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. That's the passage that we are going to be looking at this morning as Pastor Gabriel Hughes will be preaching from 2 Corinthians 5:17. Bible study for all ages is at 9:30, and worship begins at 10:30. There's coffee and donuts for those who get here early for some morning fellowship!

Here is last week's question, looking into the Scriptures to answer the most important question that anyone could ask: Who is Jesus?

Pastor Gabe will continue our series in 2 Corinthians 5. Today's sermon is entitled "The Ministry of Reconciliation." Bible study is at 9:30 and worship begins at 10:30. Here's the sermon from last week on "Knowing the Fear of God."

Memorial Day Weekend

We welcome you to church this morning with Sunday school at 9:30 and worship at 10:30. Pastor Gabe will be preaching today from 2 Corinthians 4:16-18 in a sermon entitled, "We Do Not Lose Heart."

FSBC is a diverse church family thanks to the influence of Ft. Riley on the surrounding area. This Memorial Day weekend, we encourage you to remember those who have lost their lives in the fight for freedom. Our freedom isn't free. It has been paid for by the blood of those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice, and they laid down their lives for our country.

Likewise, our spiritual freedom required a great price. We had sinned against God and were following the enemy. What we deserved for our rebellion was death. But God sent His Son, Jesus, to be an atoning sacrifice for our sins. He rose again from the dead so that all who believe in Jesus will not perish, but have everlasting life. In Christ, we are set free from bondage to sin and to death. "If the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed" (John 8:36).

Pray for our military families, and pray for those who have lost friends and family in battle. This weekend, we remember their sacrifice.
