The Resurrection of Jesus

During this season of advent, Pastor Gabe is preaching through 1 Corinthians 15 where we are told that because Jesus Christ rose from the dead, whoever believes in Him will rise from the grave also. This morning's sermon is entitled "Witnesses of the Resurrection." Here is the sermon from last week.

Repent or Perish?

Another shooting is in the news today. Another natural disaster will be in the news next week. Day after day, we hear about tragedy after tragedy. How would Jesus have responded to these things? Here's a recent :90 video from When We Understand the Text...

Is it Speaking in Tongues, or Just Gibberish?

We continue in our series through 1 Corinthians, this Sunday addressing the topic of "speaking in tongues" according to the text in chapter 14. Pastor Gabe will take us through every occasion in the book of Acts were the gift of tongues is seen exercised. What is commonly referred to today as tongues probably isn't what it was to the apostles.

Pastor Gabe will also take a moment at the start of the sermon to talk about church security. In light of the recent church shooting, we want to update our congregation on what we are doing to ensure the safety of our attendees. Service starts at 10:30!

5 Solas of the Protestant Reformation

We continue in a series on the 5 Solas of the Protestant Reformation, the foundational set of biblical principles central to the doctrine of salvation. Last week, Pastor Gabe preached on Sola Scriptura, by Scripture Alone. This week he preaches on Sola Gratia, by Grace Alone, out of Ephesians 2:1-10.

October, 2017 marks the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation. Over the next three Sundays in October, Pastor Gabe will present sermons on Sola Fide (by faith alone), Solo Christo (in Christ Alone), and Soli Deo Gloria (to the Glory of God Alone). The sermons will be uploaded to the player on the right.

Special Guest Speaker Jack Hager

This Sunday we are pleased to welcome back Jack Hager of Midland Ministries. Jack fought in the Vietnam War and upon getting out found himself in trouble with the law. It was in prison that he heard the gospel of Jesus Christ and became a Christian. Jack comes to share his incredible story and preach to us from the word.

Sunday school is at 9:30 and worship is at 10:30. Chris Solano will not be with us this weekend, so his Sunday school class will be joined with Dave's class. We'll begin a new series in our 6:00pm service.

Missions Luncheon Today

We are continuing our series in 1 Corinthians 13 this morning as Pastor Gabe preaches, "If I could speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I'm just a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal" (verses 1-3). As it is the first Sunday of the month, we'll also be partaking in the Lord's Supper. Prepare your hearts for worship this morning.

After service, we'll meet downstairs in the fellowship hall for our missions luncheon! It's for a freewill donation. All proceeds will go to benefit missions efforts from our church, either in Sierra Leone, Africa, or in the Philippines. Stick around after church and enjoy some good food with us!
