5 Solas of the Protestant Reformation

We continue in a series on the 5 Solas of the Protestant Reformation, the foundational set of biblical principles central to the doctrine of salvation. Last week, Pastor Gabe preached on Sola Scriptura, by Scripture Alone. This week he preaches on Sola Gratia, by Grace Alone, out of Ephesians 2:1-10.

October, 2017 marks the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation. Over the next three Sundays in October, Pastor Gabe will present sermons on Sola Fide (by faith alone), Solo Christo (in Christ Alone), and Soli Deo Gloria (to the Glory of God Alone). The sermons will be uploaded to the player on the right.

Special Guest Speaker Jack Hager

This Sunday we are pleased to welcome back Jack Hager of Midland Ministries. Jack fought in the Vietnam War and upon getting out found himself in trouble with the law. It was in prison that he heard the gospel of Jesus Christ and became a Christian. Jack comes to share his incredible story and preach to us from the word.

Sunday school is at 9:30 and worship is at 10:30. Chris Solano will not be with us this weekend, so his Sunday school class will be joined with Dave's class. We'll begin a new series in our 6:00pm service.

Missions Luncheon Today

We are continuing our series in 1 Corinthians 13 this morning as Pastor Gabe preaches, "If I could speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I'm just a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal" (verses 1-3). As it is the first Sunday of the month, we'll also be partaking in the Lord's Supper. Prepare your hearts for worship this morning.

After service, we'll meet downstairs in the fellowship hall for our missions luncheon! It's for a freewill donation. All proceeds will go to benefit missions efforts from our church, either in Sierra Leone, Africa, or in the Philippines. Stick around after church and enjoy some good food with us!

Spiritual Gifts (Part 2)

Pastor Gabe continues our series on spiritual gifts out of 1 Corinthians 12:12-31. What are gifts of healing and prophecy? Are they still in effect today? How can you know what your spiritual gift is? And what are the purpose of the spiritual gifts anyway? These are some of the questions we'll be tackling. Sunday school is at 9:30 and worship is at 10:30.

(Dave and Vickie are gone this weekend, so Dave's class will be moved to Chris Solano's.)

Handing Out Tracts at Sundown Salute

Greetings, church! This Sunday we'll start church with baptism and conclude with the Lord's supper. Pastor Gabe will be preaching from 1 Corinthians 11:17-34 about partaking in the Lord's table in a proper way. We'll be doing a series on communion for the month of July. Sunday school is at 9:30 and worship is at 10:30.

In the evening for our 6:00 service, we're going to do a crash course on gospel evangelism. Then we'll head over to Heritage Park to share the gospel and hand out tracts. Don't worry, you won't have to stand on a soap box or do any street-preaching. Everything you'll need to share is in the tract. Anyone who wants to participate is welcome!

Below is what the inside of the tract looks like. Click on the image to enlarge!
