Yes, We'll Still Have Church in the Morning!

UPDATE (9:00am): The building is open and the coffee is hot! Sunday school will start at 9:30 and church will begin at 10:30. Pastor Gabe says he will try to be brief and dismiss us before our cars get too covered. For those who are not able to make it to church this morning, we'll have the service recorded and put up the video in the early afternoon.

We have some blizzard-like conditions moving into the area Sunday morning, but we're still planning on having church! Sunday school is at 9:30 and worship is at 10:30. Check back here for updates if plans change. Here's Pastor Gabe showing off our Christmas trees and talking about the weather.

Why Do We Teach the Bible?

Pastor Gabe explains why we are so committed to teaching the Bible -- it is because through the word of God, we know that we have the forgiveness of sins and fellowship with God the Father through our Lord Jesus Christ. We're located at 1220 W. 8th St, and we gather Sunday mornings at 10:30. Come join us!

Born Again

During the week, Pastor Gabe has been teaching through the gospel of John on the podcast (subscribe by clicking here). In John 3, Jesus told Nicodemus that in order to see the kingdom of God, you must be born again. What does that mean? Watch this brief 90-second video from our ministry, When We Understand the Text (WWUTT).

Reformation Sunday

This weekend is Reformation Sunday as we commemorate the 501st anniversary of the protestant reformation. Pastor Gabe will be focusing on the doctrine of Soli Deo Gloria, glory to God alone, with a message from 2 Corinthians 10:13-18 entitled, "Let He who Boasts Boast in the Lord." Below is one of the songs we'll be singing for our worship service, All Hail the Power of Jesus' Name.

Take Every Thought Captive

Pastor Gabe is back in the pulpit this weekend, and picking up where we left off in 2 Corinthians 10:1-6, where the Apostle Paul tells us to "Take every thought captive and make it obey Christ." Below is the sermon from two weeks ago.

Don't forget that our Trunk or Treat is coming up on Wednesday, October 31, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Decorate your trunks and come join us in the parking lot as we distribute candy to kids in our community and tracts sharing the gospel! Participants are encouraged to dress as Bible characters.
