Happy Thanksgiving!

This is just a reminder that we have nothing on Wednesday night this week -- AWANA, study, or meal. Don't forget that the Junction City Christmas parade is on Friday. Those who want to be in the parade or help us finish the float need to be at the church before 4:30. And we need kids for the float!

Then coming up on December 1st, we'll have our Hanging of the Greens service on Sunday evening at 6:00. We'll decorate our Christmas tree, sing some Christmas carols, have a message from scripture, and enjoy some refreshments!

Thanksgiving Service

Tonight at the Junction City Middle School (click here for a map), we're having a community Thanksgiving service, put together by the Geary County Ministerial Association. Several churches from around the community will be gathering together for this special time of worship and praise. Also featuring the Geary County Children's Choir! And our own Pastor Gabe will be singing. The service starts at 6:00.

MOPS -- Mothers of Pre-Schoolers

Tomorrow morning is our next MOPS meeting. Mothers of Pre-Schoolers will be held in the fellowship hall downstairs beginning at 9:00. MOPS meets on the first and third Thursday of each month. For more details or a list of other weekly events, be sure to click on our calender page.

Dot the Leader

Tomorrow night at AWANA, it's "Dot the Leader" night! For each verse of scripture that the students memorize, they'll get to dot their AWANA leader. Which one will have the most dots? Don't forget that our fellowship meal is at 5:00. We're having deli sandwiches tomorrow night with potato chips and desert. Then AWANA and men's Bible study is at 6:00!

Jc Ledford Returns

Jc Ledford is coming back to lead worship for us this Sunday, November 17. He'll be playing both services (the traditional service at 8:30, and the contemporary service at 11:00 will contain a full band). For those who are blessed by his ministry, he'll also have CD's to sell.

Though we record the sermons, the music you have to be there to experience. So don't miss out!

NO Men's Fellowship Breakfast

This is just a reminder that there is NO men's fellowship breakfast on Saturday, November 9. That was a mis-print in last week's bulletin. The next men's breakfast won't be until December 7.

This Sunday, we continue in our series in 1 Thessalonians, covering from chapter 2:17 to 3:13 in a message entitled "Stand Fast In the Lord." If you've missed the previous two sermons in this series, you can find them under the Sermons link above.
