Big Game Party!

This Sunday is the Superbowl! And as has been our tradition now for the 5th consecutive year, we will be watching the big game in our fellowship hall and playing our own commercials! We preempt the commercial breaks and play short videos containing messages that point to Christ as well as humorous skits and songs. We'll also present a devotional at halftime. There are prizes after each quarter for those who get the closest to guessing the score. The fun starts at 5:00 (kick-off is at 5:30). We'll have sandwiches and soda. If you can, please contribute with whatever snacks you enjoy eating while watching some football!

Wednesday Night Meal

Our Fellowship Meal this evening will consist of hot dogs, french fries, and ice cream! We'll start at 5:00, and the cost is as it usually is: $2 per child, $4 per adult, or $8 will cover the whole family. Following our dinner, we'll have adult Bible study and AWANA at 6:00. Come join us!

Last Week to Register for the Art of Marriage

The Art of Marriage Conference is coming to our church on Valentine's Day, February 14. This all-day video conference will start at 9:00am and will finish with a catered dinner. The cost is $60 per couple which will cover all of your meals (food provided) and materials for the conference. We do have childcare available as well for those who need it. Register by clicking on the button in the column on the right. We need to have all registrations turned in by February 2. We'll get in touch with you to provide you with a schedule of how the day will go.

This Sunday: The Beatitudes and Communion

This Sunday, Pastor Gabe is going to do a single sermon on the beatitudes in Matthew 5, as well as bring us to the Lord's table for communion. The sermon is connected with an upcoming ladies' study over the Sermon On the Mount that will begin on February 8. This study, put together by Jen Wilkin of Village Church and facilitated by Beki Hughes, will meet in the fellowship hall of the church Sunday evenings at 6:00.

Fellowship Meal This Evening

With AWANA coming up tonight, we will have a fellowship meal beforehand, enjoying some hot dogs and french fries at 5:00. Costs are as they usually are: $2 per child, $4 per adult, or $8 will feed the whole family! Come on downstairs to the fellowship hall. We'll have AWANA and adult Bible study at 6:00.

Sanctity of Human Life Sunday

Today is Sanctity of Human Life Sunday. This morning, Pastor Gabriel preached a sermon on coming to a biblical understanding of the subject of abortion. It is an issue that we cannot confront simply using stories or science. We must approach others with the gospel of Christ. Check the player in the column on the right, or click the "sermons" tab up top. It'll be up for only four weeks, so download it while you can!

AWANA Resumes This Evening

Tonight we officially begin our AWANA semester. The weather and illness kind of put a damper on some things last week, but it's a balmy 40-something today (and looking forward to some 50s later this week)! Everything starts at 6:00, including adult Bible study in the garage classroom. We will not be having our fellowship meal this evening. We're hoping to start that back up perhaps next week. If there's anyone who would like to volunteer to help cook Wednesday nights, let us know!

Sanctity of Human Life Sunday

This coming Sunday is Sanctity of Human Life Sunday. Since the U.S. Supreme Court ruled on Roe v. Wade in 1973, America has seen the genocide of over 57 million children, an estimated 1.3 billion around the world. In our sermon this week, we want to see what the scriptures have to say about this subject, and how we as the people of God should respond. The following is a :90 video that serves as a preview to the topic we will discuss.

No AWANA Tonight

Well, we were going to go ahead and brave the cold and have AWANA this evening, despite school being cancelled. But some other complications have arisen, including illness, so we've decided to cancel all Wednesday night activities. No AWANA, adult Bible study, or fellowship meal. Stay home and stay warm!

Yes, There's Church This Morning!

Hey! We got a little bit of winter weather last night, just a couple inches of snow, but the wind did cause it to drift in some places. Despite the snow and bitter temperatures, we're still having church this morning. The parking lots should be clear and the sidewalks shoveled and salted. Please come and join us for worship! The first service is at 8:30 and the second at 11:00 with Sunday school in between at 9:45.
