Why Do We Need to Hear the Gospel?

We've been called not only to preach the gospel to a lost world, but also to preach to one another. Why is that? Why would we who have heard the gospel of Jesus Christ and received it need to hear it again? That's what we'll be talking about this morning, as well as our responsibility as Christians to preach the gospel to everyone. We continue our study of Romans today with Romans 15:8-21.

The weather is a little bit wet, but we're nice and dry and looking forward to having you! Sunday school is at 9:30 and the service begins at 10:30.

Beginning the Book of Judges

As of last week, we have finished up our two-year study in the Pentateuch. Tonight, for our Wednesday night Bible study, we'll begin going through the book of Judges! The study starts at 6:30 (and goes until 7:30) in the garage classroom behind the church. Park in the back. Just bring your Bible! Here's a video to get you motivated...

Margaret Rainwater Funeral

Dear friends, we mourn the passing of our dear sister in Christ, Chong Sun "Margaret" Rainwater, who died Sunday evening from cancer of the liver and the brain. We also rejoice in knowing that she has been set free from her suffering body and is together with the Lord in heaven. We will see our sister again. Her funeral is scheduled for Monday, July 18, at 10:00am here at the church. The burial will be at the Kansas Veterans Cemetery, 5181 Wildcat Creek Rd just northwest of the Manhattan airport. The family will return to the church for a luncheon. We're asking members of the congregation to donate prepared dishes for the meal.

Family Breakfast In the Morning

Greetings, church! Our Saturday morning family breakfast will be tomorrow at 9:00 in the fellowship hall. Please park around back and come on in. The breakfast is free. (Typically we do our breakfast the first Saturday of the month, but because that Saturday fell right next to the fourth this year, we decided to postpone it a week.)

Pastor Gabe will be preaching this Sunday on Romans 14 as we finish up the chapter. We hope that you will plan on joining us for church. Sunday school is at 9:30 and the service begins at 10:30.
