AWANA Carnival Tonight

We are kicking off AWANA tonight with a carnival that will go from 6:00 to 7:45. Parents, come with your kids! Starting at 5:00, we're going to have a spaghetti supper downstairs in the fellowship hall. The cost is $2 per child, $4 per adult, or $8 will feed the whole family.

(Notice: All activities are still on. Due to the wet weather and chance of more rain, the carnival has been moved inside into the sanctuary. This is not a drop-off night. Parents are encouraged to participate. Journey will meet in the garage behind the church at 6:30.)

The Doxology at the End of Romans

At the conclusion of the book of Romans, the Apostle Paul lays down a beautiful doxology -- a hymn of praise to the Lord -- the encourages strength according to the gospel of Christ to bring about the obedience of faith, all to the glory of God.

As we draw closer to the end of our study of Romans that began in April of last year, Pastor Gabe will be preaching from Romans 16:25-27 in a message entitled "The Doxology of Romans."

Beware of Wolves in Sheep's Clothing

Pastor Gabe will be preaching today from Romans 16:17-20 in a sermon entitled Wolves in Sheep's Clothing (Watching Out for False Teachers). We're just a few weeks away from the end of our Romans study, which we'll officially close out with a Q&A on September 11, taking questions from the congregation over the material we've covered. You can submit your questions on a note card and drop it in a box in the foyer, or send questions by e-mail. They may be submitted anonymously.

Dave Bliesner is out of town this Sunday, so his class will be combined with Chris Solano's and will be meeting in the garage classroom behind the building.

Potluck Today in the Fellowship Hall

It's going to be a full Sunday! To include some full hearts and full tummies. Pastor Gabe will be preaching from Romans 16:1-16 in a sermon entitled Greeting With a Holy Kiss (but a Handshake Will Do Just Fine).

Following the service, we'll have a potluck in the fellowship hall downstairs. Then we will have a members meeting in the sanctuary, voting on new deacons, talking about building improvements, the upcoming AWANA year, and more! It's great to be with family.

The Fullness of the Blessings of Christ

Good morning! It's a little rainy this morning but we are looking forward to having you for church. We will begin the service by welcoming a new family to the membership of FSBC, we'll worship in singing, and at the close of the sermon we will participate in the Lord's Supper today.

Pastor Gabe will be preaching from Romans 15:22-33 in a sermon entitled "The Fullness of the Blessings of Christ," that we may learn from the Apostle Paul and the other first century churches he presents as an example of how to be a blessing to one another.

Judges Study Continues Tonight, Talking About Deborah

The past couple weeks, we've been studying in the book of Judges in our Wednesday night Bible study. Tonight we'll begin chapter 4 talking about Deborah, one of the more famous judges and one that is often used in reference to women in leadership roles, which we'll also talk about.

The study meets in the building behind the church, and goes from 6:30 to 7:30. Please park in the back lot.
